LED light bulbs are carefully packaged arrays of light emitting diodes (LEDs) which produce light through a process called "electroluminescence." A LED bulb generates an equivalent amount of light for roughly 80% less energy than a traditional incandescent lamp. Without a filament or glass bulb, an LED light bulb is also more durable and longer lasting than any incandescent can be.
LEDs are one of today's most promising lighting technologies having the following advantages;
A) Cleaner alternative to fluorescent and CFL lamps since they do not contain mercury.
B) Have the lowest energy consumption of energy than any other lighting to date.
C) Produces equal or superior light quality as compared to traditional lighting products.
D) Have a life of about 20 times more than some traditional lighting products.
